Penrith Panthers go to ground over exorbitant NRL pre-season ticket prices…

The Penrith Panthers have recently faced criticism over the pricing of their pre-season NRL tickets, with fans expressing concerns about the affordability of attending these early-season matches.

For the 2025 NRL Pre-Season Challenge,

the Panthers set ticket prices at $20.40 for adults and $15.30 for juniors for their opening match against the Canberra Raiders at Sharks Stadium on February 8, 2025.

However, some fans have voiced dissatisfaction with these prices, particularly when compared to other NRL fixtures. For instance, tickets for a match featuring the Wests Tigers, often considered a lower-tier team, were priced at $62.60 for an adult seat, with family packages reaching $170.80 for four tickets.

This disparity has led to discussions about the accessibility of pre-season games for the average fan. While the Panthers’ pricing is lower than some, it remains higher than others, prompting questions about the consistency and fairness of ticket pricing across the league.

In response to these concerns, the Panthers have not issued a public statement addressing the ticket pricing. The club continues to offer various membership packages, including general admission memberships priced at $170 for adults, which include a $50 Mber+ Store credit.

As the NRL season progresses, it remains to be seen whether the Panthers will adjust their ticket pricing strategy to better align with fan expectations and ensure broader accessibility to their games.
