DEAL DONE: Dallas cowboys key player Marshawn Kneeland has announced his departure with the deal of $250.8 million contract…..

Most of the 2024 rookie class was officially on the books for the Dallas Cowboys following the conclusion of

mandatory minicamp, with the exception of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland.

The rookie second-round pick resolved that on Tuesday, however, when he and the Cowboys agreed to terms,

followed by Kneeland officially signing his deal.

Each of the eight draft picks are now signed in Dallas, and Kneeland will be allowed to take the field when the team

kicks off training camp in Oxnard in late July.

The expectations are high for the Second-Team All-MAC talent out of Western Michigan, particularly with the

change at defensive coordinator in 2024 to Mike Zimmer.

Trevon Diggs—or any other injured player, for that matter—will not be hurriedly returned to the field by the

Cowboys.

However, it appears that head coach Mike McCarthy is pleased with Diggs’ performance. Diggs missed the most of

the previous season due to a ruptured ACL injury he sustained in Week 3. The Cowboys won’t expedite the process,

though.

“We’ll respect the timeline, but Trevon looks great,” McCarthy stated at the minicamp this week. “He’s doing well.

During Monday’s physicals, I had a brief conversation with him. Let’s face it, we’re going to be extremely cautious

around those guys when he returns. It is not our intention to release them too soon. Better later than too fast.”

And with all injuries from the previous year, the ultimate goal is to have them ready for Week 1. But if Diggs can

work back into practice during training camp, that would be icing on the cake.
