FSU Football Defender And Son Of Seminole Legend Enters NCAA Transfer Portal…

Jaden Floyd, a former defensive back for the football team at Florida State, has entered the transfer portal. The junior redshirt holder will still have two years of eligibility left. William Floyd, a legendary FSU football player and color commentator for Seminole IMG Sports Network, is the father of Jaden. In a statement, he stated that he would enter the portal. To begin, I’d like to express my gratitude to the Most High for providing me with this opportunity. Florida State has been a significant part of my life ever since I was 5 years old. Anyone who has been around me throughout my journey will tell you that I wanted to be a part of such a legendary program and make my presence felt during my time here, from running around Doak as a child to running out of the tunnel for the first time against Notre Dame my freshman year. However, I am of the firm belief that the Lord directs you on these journeys in order to lead you to the next great achievement. Having said that, Floyd wrote, “I will be entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility after long discussions with God and my family.” “I would like to express my gratitude to my family for remaining by my side through everything. Floyd went on to say, “Thank you, coaches Norvell, Fuller, Surtain, and Woodson, for giving me the chance to play for the Noles.” “This decision was difficult to make, and I thank everyone involved with FSU athletics for the endless love and relationships. Finally, I thank my teammates for pushing me every day and becoming my lifelong brothers. Keep climbing and achieving that one percent every day. I will always be grateful to call myself a Florida State Seminole, and I will always bleed Garnet & Gold. Boy is doak for life! Love 39 – J Floyd out” Jaden Floyd played in the second game of the 2023 season against Southern Mississippi as a walk-on and scout team member at Florida State. The Seminoles prevailed 66-13 thanks to him making a tackle. He was one of six people who received the team’s Bill McGrotha Award in 2022, which was given out by the Tallahassee QB Club to the best people-pleasing members of the team. The older Floyd was a fullback at Florida State for three years, his final year there being during the 1993 national championship season. For the Seminoles, he appeared in 35 games, rushed for 933 yards and 20 touchdowns. The San Francisco 49ers selected William Floyd with the 28th overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft, and he contributed to their 1995 Super Bowl victory. Over the course of seven seasons, he appeared in 90 NFL games and scored 25 touchdowns. Right now, wide receiver Joshua Burrell and cornerback Greedy Vance are the two scholarship players who have entered the portal for Florida State this spring. To reach the limit of 85 scholarships, the program must still cut a significant number of scholarship players. During the winter transfer portal window, which ended on January 4, the Seminoles saw quarterback Tate Rodemaker (Southern Miss), quarterback AJ Duffy (San Diego State), running back Rodney Hill (Arkansas), running back CJ Campbell (FAU), wide receiver Goldie Lawrence (?), tight end Markeston Douglas (Arizona State), tight end Preston Daniel (Miami-Ohio), offensive lineman Thomas Shrader (Appalachian State),
