A hectic week has already passed for Marc Marquez. Only days subsequent to making his eagerly awaited start to life at Gresini Ducati in post-season testing in Valencia, the Spaniard has now declared that he has had a medical procedure. In a social media post, Marquez said that he had to have surgery to fix an injury to his right arm that had been bothering him for the second half of the 2023 campaign. Marc Marquez says he is “prepared for 2024” subsequent to uncovering he has gone through a medical procedure on his harmed right arm. The 30-year-old, who made the declaration via web-based entertainment, said the injury had come on during the last option phases of the 2023 season. Marquez stated, “I have been suffering from Compartment syndrome in my right arm” during the second season. “We tackled the issue today with Dr. Ignacio Roger de Ona and their group to be prepared for 2024!” At Gresini Ducati’s post-season testing in Valencia on Tuesday, the eight-time world champion made an exciting start to life at the company. During the morning meeting, he recorded the second speediest time in his most memorable appearance with his new group after he consented to leave Honda toward the finish of the 2023 season. The Spaniard has ruled on the track throughout the course of recent years with Repsol Honda, bringing home six MotoGP championships and 59 Grands Prix with the group. He did, however, finish on the podium once in 2023, in the season opener in Australia, and decided it was time to move on. Francesco Bagnaia, the current MotoGP champion, stated that he was not surprised by Marquez’s performance following his stunning debut in Valencia. “I said a few races prior that he was first in the principal test,” he told MotoGP.com. “He can be very pleased with the bike, but I missed it by a few positions. We did an excellent job all season with this bike, and he can enjoy it.
