Mike Florio ofPro Football Talk previously stated that the Vikings have a rule that prohibits the inclusion of fully guaranteed money after the first year of any long-term deal. During an appearance on KFAN with Paul Allen earlier this week, Florio doubled down on the play and implied that the Vikings would struggle to keep Jefferson unless they risked the position, which they have only done with quarterback Kirk Cousins in the past.”I can say for sure that JJ is very patient, but his patience has limits,” Florio said via FanNation’s Will Ragatz. “The problem is still not in dollars, but in the structure.
