Done deal: Tennessee Vols have complete the deal of a young utility quarterback to replace…

With the recent retirement of Alabama head coach Nick Saban, you have to wonder if the Crimson Tide are ready to take a step back. After Saban’s incredible leadership, it’s hard to see Alabama continuing that. Kalen DeBoer is a really good head coach and Alabama is still very talented. However, there has been a mass exodus and DeBoer needs to prove he can recruit at Saban’s level. If there’s any program looking to capitalize on Alabama’s fall, Tennessee football is in as good shape as any, especially with the commitment of another five-star quarterback, George MacIntyre.MacIntyre is 6-foot-6 and is based out of Brentwood, Tennessee. Head#039;s ranked No. 15 in the 2025 class by 247 Sports Composite. Heand is also third among quarterbacks, marking the second time in three classes that the Vols have finished in the top three.Nico Iamaleava is a former class of 2023 quarterback. Heand is a premier athlete and is ready to lead the Vols into the 2024 season. Heand will likely play the next two seasons, and if all goes according to plan, he will leave Tennessee football for the NFL.MacIntyre could join the roster before the 2025 season, when Iamaleava begins his junior season. MacIntyre could redshirt and have 2-3 seasons to play after that, which means Tennessee football will soon have a five-star starting quarterback for the next 4-5 years.Josh Heupel didn’t take Tennessee football to the SEC Championship Game or the College Football Playoff. But as it expands to 12 teams this year, it looks like the Vols will soon make that move, and if there was one SEC program that could take advantage of Alabama’s decline, it would be Tennessee thanks to an incredibly bright future at quarterback. ..
