He went down trying to stop Brock Purdyand#039;s 49ers from finishing, which may have cost Dan Campbelland the defense dear. According to Lions PR, his knee is still being evaluated. However, this means that the defense needs to find new players to strengthen.He was a key factor en route to that NFC Championship game. Barnes, in particular, was the one who closed the door on a possible comeback against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His only interception picked up Baker Mayfield and his team and moved the Lions closer to the first Super Bowl in franchise history. Barnes also made four saves in that game.In his absence, the rest of the Lions linebackers worked to contain Purdy and the 49ers offense. Alex Anzalone has four solos and Malcolm Rodriguez has four, including one assist. There is still a lot of time left and the Lions defense is still doing pretty well.
