Done deal: 5-stars are now set to join Florida State on…

Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham has remained one of Florida State top out-of-state targets at his position since he visited last spring, and now he has informed Noles247 of his plans to be back in Tallahassee on March 23 to get another good look at FSU.

Cunningham has visited FSU three times in the past as a recruit. Before his prior visit in March of last year, Cunningham told Noles247, “They’re on top of my list.” After the visit’s conclusion, he shared with 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong that he was “really close to committing” during the visit, but he wanted to wait until his senior season to make a decision.

Florida State’s quarterback recruiting in the 2025 class could go one of two ways.

The Seminoles could opt to roll with one commit at the quarterback position as they already have a pledge from 247Sports Composite four-star Tramell Jones Jr.. On the other hand, FSU could explore adding another signal caller to the class.

FSU landed a commitment from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin standout passer Tramell Jones Jr. last April. Jones is someone the ‘Noles evaluated early on in the process after having him work out at a camp. They’re very familiar with his game.
