Celtic ‘advance’ in Jung transfer talks as Gwangju boss claim receives brutal ‘clumsy situation’ caveat

According to Gwangju FC coach Lee Jeong-hyo, midfielder Jung Ho-young has held “advanced” discussions with Celtic regarding a transfer in January.
However, he continued to warn of a possible exit from the K-League, stressing that they could find themselves in an “unfavorable situation” in the Scottish Premiership.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has not hesitated to admit he wants to add players at the start of the season next month, stressing the importance of adding quality and experience to his Parkhead squad next month.

This would be a deal-breaker for the 23-year-old, as the South Korean midfielder only played in K League 1 for the first time last season after helping his team to promotion.
However, after leading the team to third place this season, the manager continued to insist that Celtic bring in key players such as Korean talents Oh Hyun-kyu, Kwon Hyuk-kyu and Yang Hyun-jun when the winter season opens.
He said he was interested.
He has been a backup in recent seasons.

When asked about Celtic’s interest, he told Dong-ah: “Jung Ho-young is currently in talks to move from Gwangju to Europe, but he still has a long way to go.
If he goes to Europe now, he will definitely end up there.
‘ He is in a disadvantageous situation.
It would be wise to prepare well like Cho Gu Sung (signed with Midtjylland last summer) and choose the team and league wisely.
