Report: 29-goal striker made available for Rangers transfer after…

Rangers and all other clubs interested in signing Kevin van Veen in January have been told the striker could leave Groningen if a suitable offer is made.
The 32-year-old killer was a revelation for Motherwell last season.
He scored 29 goals in all competitions and was named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year.

Van Veen’s incredible form in front of goal earned him a nomination for the PFA Player of the Year award, but he was ultimately sacrificed when Motherwell reluctantly sold him to Groningen.

But his £500,000 move to the Dutch second-division club hasn’t changed for the better.
He has only scored five goals in 14 games and has not played for Groningen since November 24.
Van Veen’s wife still lives in Scotland and has recently given birth to her child, so he has been granted “indefinite” parental leave for her and their new child.
It comes after Van Veen told the Scottish Sun that Rangers were keeping an eye on him ahead of his move to Groningen.
And now the Ibrox team are on alert following comments from the Dutch team’s sporting director.

As quoted by the Daily Record, Wouter Goode said Van Veen would be allowed to leave Groningen in January.
However, a suitable offer must be made before the club considers selling.
